I'm Jade, the founder of this endeavor, and I'm thrilled to share my journey with you. My passion for advocating for children with special education needs ignited during my time as a classroom teacher, a role I've cherished for a decade.

In 2019, while still teaching, I founded Cultivating Unique Minds Advocacy & Consulting. My drive behind this venture was a growing realization: school districts often fell short in educating parents about their children's rights within the special education system.

With a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in administration and curriculum and instruction, my academic journey provided me with a robust foundation. I've had the privilege of teaching in various settings—rural and urban, private and public—and working with students spanning ages 3 to 22.

What sets Cultivating Unique Minds apart is my firsthand experience not just as an educator, but also as someone who has sat at the Individualized Education Program (IEP) table advocating for a loved one.

This personal perspective informs every aspect of my approach.

At the core of my work is compassion and understanding. I recognize that each family's journey is unique, and I prioritize listening and respecting their wants and wishes. When advocating at the IEP table, I believe in a collaborative approach, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

I take pride in the relationships I've built—with both clients and school districts. Ninety percent of my clients return for ongoing support, a testament to the trust and results we've achieved together.
